Removing Paneling from the Den – Part 2

In a previous post , I wrote about taking down the strange shelves and paneling in my den. I was left with a plaster wall covered with glue.

Last weekend, my dad and I picked up some drywall at Menards. Best part was driving this truck, complete with American flag AND eagle.

This weekend, my parents, my uncle and I added a layer of drywall on top of the plaster. It took about 3 sheets of drywall to cover the wall. My dad screwed the drywall to the studs and then my uncle George did the taping and put the first layer of mud up.

It looks great already. I can’t wait to paint the room. I am considering Restoration Hardware Flint Paint.
