Last month during the Mt. Prospect garage sale weekend, we found a bunch of terra-cotta pots curbside. One of them was perfect for hens and chicks. I picked up a $4 container of hens and chicks at Pesche’s and potted them.

First, I filled the container with regular potting soil.

Then I separated the hens and chicks and arranged them in the container, making sure their roots were buried. Easy peasy.
