Perfect Brown Rice

Have you ever had the brown rice at PF Chang’s? It’s fluffy and doesn’t have any of the mushy-ness that my brown rice seems to have. I figured that they had a commercial rice cooker that made the rice so perfect. Then, I saw the Better Brown Rice article in the September issue of Martha Stewart Living. It promised fluffy, flavorful brown rice, so I gave it a try.

I used plain old brown rice.

I wanted leftovers, so I doubled the recipe and put all the ingredients into a heavy enameled cast iron pan.

Here’s the cooked rice.

Here’s a close up, nice and fluffy. Delicious too.
